Clarie Rupio, Christian Atsu’s wife, has spoken out for the first time since her husband’s body was recovered from the rubble yesterday.
Christian Atsu had been trapped under the wreckage of the Hatayaspor Renaissance building for 10 days before being discovered and rescued.
He had been dead for days before the rescue team discovered his mortal remains.
Following the tragic news of the player’s death, millions of Ghanaians and football fans all over the world took to social media to express their condolences to the Atsu family.
Many people are now wondering about his wife and children’s current condition, as this will undoubtedly be difficult news for them to accept.
The German-born lady shared a photo of a family moment she shared with Atsu and two of their children on her Instagram stories.
She wrote on the photo that despite receiving numerous messages, she was unable to respond because she was overwhelmed by the situation.
“I see all the messages, but as you all can understand, this is [a] very hard time. “This was my three children’s father,” she explained.
