Darren Waller is an American football player who currently plays as a tight end for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL).
He was born on September 13, 1992, in Landover, Maryland, and attended North Cobb High School in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Waller played college football at Georgia Tech and was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the sixth round of the 2015 NFL Draft.
He played for the Ravens for three seasons but was suspended twice for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.
Waller was claimed off waivers by the Raiders in 2018 and quickly emerged as a talented and versatile player. In 2019, he had a breakout season, catching 90 passes for 1,145 yards and three touchdowns, and was named to his first Pro Bowl.
He followed up that performance with another impressive season in 2020, catching 107 passes for 1,196 yards and nine touchdowns, and was named to his second consecutive Pro Bowl.
Waller is known for his size, speed, and athleticism, which make him a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses.
He is also known for his work off the field, having battled addiction and now using his platform to raise awareness about mental health and substance abuse.
