Ghanaians are ecstatic about Afia Schwar’s two-year social media ban

Instead of a jail sentence, an Accra High Court fined Ghanaian controversial media personality Afia Schwarzenegger 60,000 cedis.

Afia Schwar, who appeared in court today, January 31, 2023, pleaded with the court to vacate her prison sentence, and her request was granted.

Her 10-day sentence was commuted after she apologized to the court after being sentenced.

After paying the fine, the court also ordered Afia Schwarzenegger to stay away from social media for two years.

According to sources, she is being held at the High Court and will be released once the fine is paid.

Afia Schwar was sentenced to ten days in jail for making defamatory remarks about Chairman Wontumi on UTV about five months ago.

The comedian was not in the country when the court dismissed its final verdict in her infamous contempt case with Chairman Wontumi.

Ghanaians have flooded the internet in response to this news, ecstatic over the situation of the loudmouth comedienne.

According to these pleased individuals, the local digital space will be free of nonsense clout chasing in the coming years.
