Twene Jonas launched another attack on Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, branding him an ineffective leader.
According to him, it was pointless for the king to wear costly gold ornaments while his subjects suffered from abject poverty and deprivation.
Twene Jonas maintained that Otumfuo should concentrate on developing his immediate surroundings by investing the proceeds from the gold sale to improve Kumasi and the Ashanti Kingdom.
Twene Jonas slammed efforts to organize a grand Akwasidae Festival instead of developing Kumasi into a megacity on social media.
“It’s pointless to be a King who only dresses up in gold for a festival when your people haven’t benefited from the sale of gold,” Twene Jonas retorted.
