The lady at the centre of a cancelled wedding in Tamale that has generated controversies has broken her silence to a Tamale-based Television station Sangani TV.

Alhassan Hubaida has denied claims she was having sex with another man in a hotel room for which reason the much-publicized Islamic wedding ceremony was cancelled.

She however concedes that there are irreconcilable differences within the families of the would-be groom and bride which is why the wedding slated for 20 June, 2021 was called off.

According to her, she already has a two-year-old child with Kassim Anass wondering why she would engage in such an act she described as sacrilegious.

“We had an issue with his mother claiming we never consulted her in our wedding preparations and other family issues. I was the first person to have asked we cancel it so that issue could be resolved and not cheating. If he claims I cheated or was caught with a man in a hotel having sex, I dare him to produce evidence. We prepared everything for the wedding…my friends bought all the clothes so how could I cancel such an event?”, she quizzed.

“We know each other and have a two-year-old-child. It was just after fasting I weaned the child from breastfeeding. There are family issues but once he has not made that public, I am not the one to speak about it. If he does, I will also give details of what the main issue is”, she revealed
