The one-week observation period for former Black Stars winger Christian Atsu Twasam continues today, Saturday, March 04, 2023, at the Adjiringanor Astro Turf.
The deceased’s family, loved ones, football fraternity members, and members of the general public have gathered to commemorate his life.
The late player and philanthropist was discovered dead under the rubble of his home in southern Turkey on Saturday, January 18, 2023, following the earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria on Monday, February 6, 2023.
Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo has assured Ghanaians that the government will do everything possible to provide the footballer with a “dignified exit.”
“It is my duty and responsibility as President to ensure that happens,” he said after receiving a delegation from the late footballer’s family at the Jubilee House in Accra.
The delegation, led by Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku, had approached him to officially inform him of their kin’s tragic death.
