The relationship between President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo and Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has been described as very cordial.
Whenever Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo visits the Ashanti Region’s capital of Kumasi, the two take time to discuss several issues.
Another important ceremony has happened in Kumasi and it required the presence of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo and Otunfuo Osei Tutu II.
The President performed a sod-cutting ceremony for the construction of townhouses for judges of the appeals courts in Kumasi.
The twenty townhouses when completed will serve as the residence for the judges who will be handling cases from the northern side of the country.
Some regions that will benefit include Western North, Ahafo, Ashanti, Bono East, Bono, North East, Upper West, Savanna, Upper East, and many others.
Cases are also expected to be adjudicated in the shortest possible period. At the sod-cutting ceremony, the overlord of the Ashanti Kingdom, Otumfour Osei Tutu II could be spotted in pictures exchanging greetings with Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo.



The two, had a lengthy friendly chat whilst other dignitaries look on. As usual, Otumfour Osei Tutu II was represented massively with the entourage of traditional authorities from Manhyia.
The rich cultural display was not missing as usual. The Chief Justice, Anin Yeboah was also present. The plan of the townhouses was showcased with pictures of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, Otumfour Osei Tutu II, and Justice Anin Yeboah beautifully designed on it.
The three joined hands to cut the sod for the project to officially begin. In pictures posted on the official Facebook page of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, the land for the project has already been cleared with contractors busily working on site.
Iron rods and other building materials have already been allocated to the site with all indications that the work will be completed as scheduled.
