Mubarak Wakaso, a Ghanaian footballer and close friend of Christian Atsu, has provided an update on his teammate Christian Atsu, who was caught up in the earthquake in Turkey.
Christian Atsu was rescued from the rubbles of the Turkey earthquake on Tuesday, according to reports.
However, according to reports on Wednesday, the former Black Stars player is not in any hospital in Turkey.
Mubarak Wakaso, in a social media statement, urged Ghanaians to be cautious in their statements and reports about Christin Atsu’s whereabouts.
According to the former Granada player, Christian Atsu’s family is having a difficult time trying to find the player, and the last thing they expect is a false report.
He also warned the public not to spread “unsubstantiated news” about Christian Atsu.
Atsu and Wakaso are thought to be best friends with a very special bond. On social media, the two are mostly seen making fun of each other.
Mubarak Wakaso’s statement is below.
“Following yesterday’s update from the club that Christian had been pulled out alive, we have yet to confirm Christian’s whereabouts.
As you can imagine, this is still a difficult time for his family, and we are doing everything we can to find Christian.
As new information becomes available, official updates will be provided. Please respect the families’ privacy during this difficult time, and refrain from spreading false information, as this will only impede the search for Christian.
“I appreciate all of your prayers and support.”
