After Philippe Coutinho was left out of Brazil’s 26-man FIFA World Cup team in Qatar, PSG star Neymar sent him a message.
Tite left Coutinho off his Qatar World Cup roster. His recent injury and Aston Villa form made it expected.
“I love you, ace,” Neymar replied to the former Barcelona and Liverpool player’s Instagram post.
Coutinho’s Instagram post: “The World Cup is every player’s dream, and I’ll cheer like other Brazilians even though I’m not there. I thank God and the national team staff for this journey.” As you know, I’ve been injured and off the lawn for weeks. I’m stopping by to thank everyone for their kind words. I appreciate the many people who like me.
“I’m optimistic and focused on recuperating well and coming back stronger. Despite the challenges, many good things will happen.”
Coutinho is out with a hamstring injury after failing to score or assist in 13 Villa matches.
Neymar will captain Brazil at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar. After 20 years, he hopes to win the Cup again with one of the tournament’s top teams.
