Otis Taylor was a former American football player who played as a wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL) from 1965 to 1975.
He was born on August 11, 1942, in Houston, Texas, and attended Prairie View A&M University.
During his NFL career, Taylor was known for his size, speed, and ability to make big plays. He was a key member of the Chiefs’ offense during their Super Bowl-winning season in 1969 and was named to the Pro Bowl three times.
He was also named First-Team All-Pro twice and Second-Team All-Pro once.
Taylor retired after the 1975 season with 7,306 receiving yards, 57 receiving touchdowns, and a career average of 17.5 yards per catch.
He was inducted into the Chiefs’ Hall of Fame in 1984 and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1994.
