A mother kept quiet while being raped by a home intruder so she wouldn’t wake up her young children, a court heard.
Petrus-Ionut Apostoae barged into the victim’s bedroom after a house party she’d hosted and assaulted her before asking her not to call the cops.
The 25-year-old stranger stole an art set and a hoodie from the woman, who has not been identified, and attempted to return weeks later but found the door locked.
He was sentenced to over 14 years in prison today.

Last October 2, family and friends gathered before leaving around 6 p.m.
The occupant put her children to bed around 8 or 9 p.m.
She was unsure if one of the guests would be returning later so stayed up watching TV and chatting to pals on social media.
