Police suspect foul play in 10-year-old boy suicide; arrest 2 family members

Two (2) family members the ten (10) years old boy Paul Okyere Boateng who allegedly committed suicide at Atonsu Bokro in the Asokwa Municipality of the Ashanti Region have been detained by the Asokwa Police Command, MyNewsGh.com can report.

The deceased Okyere Boateng who found hanging in his room at Atonsu Bokro.

The assembly member for Atonsu Bokro Hon Owusu Brempong aka Join The Line who narrates the unfortunate incident in an interview with Pure FM’s Osei Kwadwo “We suspect foul play in the death of the deceased”

According to the assembly member “When we went into the room with the police, there was nothing which shows that the boy committed suicide”

The two (2) family members have been detained by the police to assist with investigations.

Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue pending an autopsy to determine the actual cause of death.

It would be recalled that one of the relations, Yaw Akuoko Sarpong aged 33 came back from work to find his younger brother Paul Boateng hanging from the ceiling fan with a nylon net and his feet on a mattress in one of the rooms.
