The internet is set ablaze as an alleged photo of Sarkodie’s father, Mr. Owusu Addo, in a pose with Robert Nesta Marley OM, known as ‘Bob Marley’
The news of Sarkodie being featured on a song with the late legendary Bob Marley came as a surprise as it was earlier speculated that, Sarkodie has featured someone bigger than ‘Jay Z’.
Bob Marley who died on May 11, 1981’s legacy still lives on as he’s one of the legendary pioneers of reggae music.
His musical career was marked by fusing elements of reggae, ska, and rocksteady, as well as his distinctive vocal and songwriting style.
One of Bob Marley’s hit songs, ‘Stir It Up’, which was released in 1978, features the Wailers on his ‘Catch a Fire’ album.
The song was released 7 years before Ghanaian Rapper, Sarkodie was born, yet, the management team of Bob Marley reached out to Sarkodie, to add his voice to the song’s remix.
The stir it up remix which features Sarkodie is currently a trending number on Youtube and has caused lots of stirs on social media.
A current photo trending on social media right now suggests, Sarkodie’s father, Mr. Owusu Addo, took a picture with Bob Marley in the late 60s.
An Instagram user, Philip Nai shared a photo of the Legendary Bob Marley sitting with a black kid and claimed it was Sarkodie’s father and Bob Marley.
He captioned “Mr.Owusu Addo, The Father Of Sarkodie With Legendary Bob Marley [1968] 🇬🇭🇯🇲 👀 You can go to hell”
