As a player, Sergio Aguero has become Manchester City’s greatest ever striker. Erling Haaland, who earned his England debut against Liverpool in the Community Shield game, is the guy aiming to dethrone him.
Even though Haaland had several decent chances to score, he was unable to do so, as Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip played some excellent defense to keep him out of the picture.
“He was too used to Germany, he believed he was alone, then [Virgil] Van Dijk appeared and said, ‘Welcome to the Premier League!'” Sergio Aguero stated on his Twitch stream of Haaland’s debut.
There were 22 goals from Haaland in 24 Bundesliga matches last season. It’s doubtful he’ll be able to match those numbers in the United Kingdom.
