SHS 3 student of Jachie Pramso SHS left traumatized after receiving severe beatings from headmaster

A final year student of Jachie Pramso SHS received the beatings of her life from their Headmaster for her helping a student who had dressed improperly.

The young girl identified as Mary was beaten mercilessly by the headmaster, Mr Donkor with no justification.

Speaking to Akoma FM in Kumasi, the 19-year-ole girl said “last week Thursday, we were in class and our headmaster was about to punish my colleague for dressing inappropriately so I gave him my jacket to cover up his indecent dressing then the headmaster asked me to go to his office and wait for him”.

“He later came to the office and beat me mercilessly,” – the girl said on Akoma Fm

Mary added that it’s been over a week but still feels sharp pains in her spine which makes sitting difficult for her.

“Now I can’t even concentrate and learn because I’ve been traumatized I have not been able to go to campus since the incident happened and I’m scared it might affect me.” – she added

Hannah Amponsah, the Ashanti Regional Coordinator for Girl Child Education of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has branded the headmaster’s behaviour as unprofessional and has urged the victim to report the incident to the district office.
