A teacher of Derma Senior High School(SHS) at Bechem in the Ahafo Ano South Municipality Kwame Gyamfi has been shot dead by armed robbers.
One person is in critical condition after armed robbers attacked a Mobile Money vendor.
The unfortunate incident which happened on Friday, August 20, 2021, around 7pm has thrown residents, family and friends, into a state of shock and mourning.
An eyewitness Kwame Asamoah who narrated the unfortunate incident in an interview with Pure FM’s Osei Kwadwo said “the deceased went to the Mobile Money shop to visit the vendor who is his friend”.
According to him “the robbers on an unregistered motorbike came to the shop and started firing gunshots indiscriminately and took away all the money in the mobile money shop”.
The teacher Kwame Gyamfi was hit by a stray bullet and he was pronounced dead while being rushed to the hospital but the Mobile Money vendor who is in critical condition is currently at a hospital in Sunyani receiving treatment.
