Sulley Muntari’s meeting with Hearts of Oak management to discuss a contract extension could put an end to all the speculation and transfer rumors.
Muntari, the club’s veteran midfielder, apparently does not want to extend his deal. Ghanaianexpress.com has learned from a reliable source that the CEO of Giant Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah, has met with Muntari on multiple occasions and that an agreement has been struck between the two parties.
The contract of the former AC Milan and Inter Milan player with the Phobians expired last month, in July 2022.
However, according to Ghanaianexpress.com, Sulley wants to see Togbe Afede XIV discuss a contract extension after rejecting an offer from the FA Cup winners in a meeting conducted yesterday 5th August 2022.
When Sulley Muntari joined Hearts of Oak in January, the Ghanaian midfielder helped the club win both the MTN FA Cup and the President’s Cup.
Before relocating to the United States, he played for Liberty Professionals in the Ghana Premier League.
Later, he played for AC Milan, the Sunderland SC of the English Premier League, and the Pescara of the Italian Serie A before moving on to Inter Milan, where he won the UEFA Champions League.
