A video showing how a ‘trotro’ driver and his friend manhandled a police officer from Ghana’s Motor Transport and Traffic Directorate (MTTD) has gone viral.
The video begins with the two men kicking the cop to the ground.
The officers then pinned the officer to the ground and dragged him as they continued to abuse him.
When he was finally able to stand, the police officer and the duo exchanged words. There were onlookers present, but they only intervened after the police officer got to his feet.
It is unclear what caused the misunderstanding that resulted in the officer’s mistreatment. Scores of commenters, however, described the behavior of the ‘trotro’ driver and his mate as “unacceptable”.
