Okudzeto Ablakwa might have fallen out with the NDC caucus on the Parliamentary Appointment Committee but he is still a favorite of the party. Many have noted that he is a strict man of principles. His resignation was thus no surprise as his principles did not allow him side with the ‘wrongs’ of the caucus.
Ablakwa later met with Alban Bagbin to discuss his resignation form the Appointment Committee. It looks like the bonding of the two is getting stronger as the North Tongu MP joined Alban Bagbin, the Speaker to receive some foreign dignitaries yesterday.
In Parliament both received into Parliament the Ambassadors H.E Shani Cooper and H.E Christoph Retzlaff from Israel and Germany respectively. The two also received the Australian High Commissioner to Ghana Gregory Andrews.
The team discussed matters pertaining to partnering in fighting global challenges. It is expected that these discussions will build Ghana’s partnership with these countries and provide a common front.
