Vanessa Hudgens is an American actress, singer, and producer. She was born on December 14, 1988, in Salinas, California.

Hudgens first gained recognition for her role as Gabriella Montez in the Disney Channel Original Movie “High School Musical” in 2006, which led to a successful acting and singing career.

In addition to “High School Musical,” Hudgens has appeared in numerous films, including “Thirteen” (2003), “Thunderbirds” (2004), “Bandslam” (2009), “Beastly” (2011), “Spring Breakers” (2012), “Gimme Shelter” (2013), “Dog Days” (2018), and “Bad Boys for Life” (2020).

Hudgens has also made several television appearances, including guest roles on shows like “Still Standing,” “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody,” and “Robot Chicken,” as well as a lead role in the NBC series “Powerless” in 2017.

Aside from acting, Hudgens has released two studio albums, “V” (2006) and “Identified” (2008), and has performed in several stage productions, including a 2015 Broadway revival of “Gigi.” She has also been involved in various philanthropic efforts, including serving as a spokesperson for UNICEF.

Vanessa Hudgens’ parents are Gina Guangco, who is of Filipino, Chinese and Spanish descent, and Greg Hudgens, who was of Irish and Native American ancestry.

Gina was born in Manila, Philippines, and Greg was born in Oregon, United States.

They met while they were both working at the same theater in California, and Vanessa was born in Salinas, California, in 1988.

Sadly, Greg Hudgens passed away in 2016 after a battle with cancer.

All of her grandparents were musicians.
